Joseph Audio Perspective

Jeff Joseph has done it again. With his new iteration following the pulsar in a full size tower known as the "Perspective" Speakers. As always, these speakers deliver as only Joseph Audio knows how. A true, lifelike, and full defined delivery of any music seems to be their strongpoint. For a suggested MSRP of $11,500 a pair, they deliver.

MB Quart PVI 216

So i finally had some speakers in my car crash, and decided to purchase something beside the Alpine type r components that were installed and served me well for 8 years. I decided to look again into Mb Quart because of their reputation and found PVI 216 to suit my needs.

I found them on Amazon.com and read some reviews, and thought for $130 i can't go wrong.

In all, i give them about a 7.5 out of 10 because i found out later that Maxxsonics bought them out and now their quality has fallen.

The inverted dome tweeter is HUGE on my door a-pillar but sound amazing. They are a little harsh at times, but the parametric eq in my deck helped out with that, and turning the tweeter crossover to -5db helped a lot too.

I must say that for the money, i really enjoy these speakers, but when they are done, will likely go back to the smoother and sweeter Type R components. The silk dome just impresses me more.

MBL 101 MK II

OK, so these speakers are a little strange. They have been around for about 30 years now, but I had never heard of them, nor heard them. For $120K A PAIR, you can have some. They were loud, dynamic..... ok, really loud. they had tremendous bass and great dispersion with their omnidirectional design. I would really love a pair for a party at my house since they will play loud and in all directions. I just really like my house. too rich for my bloodEnlarged Image

ROCK BAND

So this is a video of John Hasson warming up the ION audio drumset for ROCKBAND 2 on the XBOX 360. He really drew a crowd, nobody was there until we started playing. It was a lot of fun.

3D

So this is the 3D LCD TV set up at CES 2010. It's hard to see how cool it really is on the video, but in real life, you didnt need glasses. They converged the light when it hits your eyes, thus making 3D.

Parts Express TRITRIX

Just put together parts express TRITRIX system in my garage. For $200, they are pretty detailed, dynamic, and have substantial staging. I understand there are better speakers out there, but i would argue they would be hard to find anything at this price that beats the TRITRIX. Thank you Parts Express
